DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHER
Hey there, my name is Keenan Angel. Yes, Angel is really my last name. I think it's one of the main reasons my wife married me. I'm a photographer in Rapid City. I always do my best to capture emotions and every day life that often goes unnoticed. I promise that I will be the easiest part of your day. Days come and go...photographs last forever.

“If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument.”
I'm incredibly passionate about my job.
Photography...it's kind of my thing.
I'm known as a documentary photographer. Simply put into words...I focus on the moments of a shoot and not the poses. My style is for the most part, candid. Essentially I'm just a person following you through your shoot. Capturing the moments while they unfold. Authentic and candid moments being told through photos. "A good photograph is knowing where to stand."

"Photographing the memories you'll look back on decades from now."
We are all aware how expensive photos can be. My goal has never been to rob the bank. If anything, I probably under charge people. I'm okay with that. I didn't began this photography journey to get rich. I wanted to photograph people and families so they could have memories to look back on. The money is just that...money, you can't take it with you.

Check out my videos if you'd like, I also have a written blog that lays out the same details, if reading is your thing. This shows a glimpse of my photography career. A little background into where I started and where I'm at. The other video I made for fun. Just a journey across the country and back. Mainly spent in airports. Spoiler, it's not glamorous. Mildly funny though. I hope you enjoy.
